Simple Fasting is operated by Oleksandr Kryzhanovskyi ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Simple Fasting iOS application (the "App") or contact us about the App.

Simple Fasting is designed as a local-first application. It does not require an account, and we do not operate a backend that stores your complete fasting history. Most information you enter is stored only on your device. Limited information is transmitted to service providers for analytics, diagnostics, subscription management, app updates, and support as described below.

1. Information stored on your device

The App may store the following information locally on your device:

• A randomly generated local user identifier and the date the local profile was created
• The display name you enter
• Onboarding responses, including fasting experience, fasting goals, and your daily fasting target
• Fasting and eating records, including the type of window, start and end times, time zone information, and notes you choose to add
• Achievement unlocks, streak information, and fasting challenge progress
• App settings and preferences, including theme, statistics range, notification preferences, and Live Activity preferences
• Subscription access status cached by the App

This information is stored using the App's local database and on-device storage. Limited current-state information may also be shared with the App's iOS widget and Live Activity through Apple's on-device app-group storage.

Notifications are scheduled locally on your device. The App does not currently obtain an Expo push token or send your notification content to a server operated by us.

You can delete this on-device information using Settings > Clear All User Data. Uninstalling the App also generally removes its local data, subject to how Apple handles device backups and restoration.

2. Information processed off your device

Although detailed records remain local, the App transmits limited information in the following situations.

A. Product analytics and diagnostics

In production versions of the App, we use PostHog to understand how the App is used, improve features, measure reliability, and diagnose errors. Information sent to PostHog may include:
